When Eating Halal Makes You A Terrorist

October 30, 2010

Campbell Soup’s Canadian Halal Certification Stirs Protest – AOL News

Although the protest is against the certifying committee, the subsequent protests and discussions will, with no doubt, take a turn for the worse. Muslims will be hated, again, because they eat Halal food.

Love Your Parents

October 30, 2010

Allah says in the Holy Quran regarding the treatment of our parents:

Thy Lord hath decreed, that ye worship none save Him, and (that ye show) kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age with thee, say not “Fie” unto them nor repulse them, but speak unto them a gracious word. (23) And lower unto them the wing of submission through mercy, and say: My Lord! Have mercy on them both as they did care for me when I was little. (24)

Quran 17:23-24

I did the shopping instead of my mother. What about you? What did you do today that made your parent(s) happy?

The Signs of the Day of Judgment

October 29, 2010

The signs of the Day of Judgment have been elaborated in Islam very extensively as compared to the oldest religions, Judaism and Christianity. In this life, many people have clung to materialitic dreams and forgot about their life in the hereafter. Would not you want to have a happy ending?

I would like to share a post by Naush Samama about the signs of the approach of this great Day:

The Signs are listed in roughly chronological order, although the order is not necessarily precise, especially for those in the future.

This is a brief summary of the signs; there are many books, articles, cassettes etc. which discuss these in greater detail. May Allah enable us to recognise and heed the Signs, and strengthen us in the times of tribulation.

“Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them suddenly? But its Signs have already come!” (Al-Qur’an, Surah Muhammad)

Past

1. Splitting of the Moon.

2. Death of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

3. A form of death which will kill thousands of Muslims. (Understood to refer to the plague of Amwas during thecaliphate of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab.)

5. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem.

6. The Muslim conquest of Constantinople.

18. Time will pass more quickly.

23. People will gather for prayer, but will be unable to find an imam to lead them.

Future

24. The number of men will decrease, whilst the number of women will increase, until for every man there are 50 women.

25. The Euphrates will reveal a treasure of gold, and many will die fighting over it, each one hoping to be the one who gainsthe treasure.

26. The Romans (Europeans) will come to a place called A’maq or Wabiq, and an army of the best people will go forth from Madinah to face them.

27. The Muslim conquest of Rome.

28. The Mahdi (guided one) will appear, and be the Imam of the Muslims.

29. Jesus Christ will descend in Damascus, and pray behind the Mahdi.

31. The Antichrist (al-masih al-dajjal, the false christ) will appear, with all his tools of deception, and be an immense trial. He will be followed by 70,000 Jews from Isfahan (present-day Iran).

32. The appearance of Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog), and the associated tribulations.

33. The emergence of the Beast from the Earth, carrying the Staff of Moses and the Seal of Solomon, who will speak to the people, telling them they did not believe with certainty in the Divine Signs.

34. A major war between the Muslims (including Jews and Christians who truly believe in Jesus after his return) led by the Imam Mahdi, and the Jews plus other non-Muslims led by the Antichrist.

35. Jesus will kill the Antichrist at the gate of Ludd (Lod in present-day Israel, site of an airport and a major Israeli military base).

48. Eventually the Day of Judgment is established upon the worst of the people, who copulate like donkeys in public.

49. The blowing in the Trumpet by the Angel Israfil, upon which everyone will faint except as Allah wills.

50. The second blowing in the Trumpet, upon which everyone will be resurrected.

When People Lose Humanity for Fun

October 22, 2010

I do not know what the owners were thinking when they put pictures of people they see ugly for voting on their Website. Do not they know those are people with feelings? Have not come across their minds that maybe some of them would see the Webpage and would find their picture labeled as “ugly”?

Pictures of Ugly People whether Ugly Men or Ugly Women are for entertainment purposes only.

How low a human can be than this?

Friday Supplication

October 22, 2010

O Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.

In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the Merciful.

O Allah Thou art my Lord. There is no God except Thou. Thou brought me into being, I am Thy obedient servant, child of Thy slave, in Thy unconditional service in person standing at Thy disposal. I refer to Thy undertaking and promise, that whoso seek humbly Thy approval and consent to get rid of evil, Thou shall favour him with atonement. Allow me to make amends for my sins, surely no one can forgive except Thou.

O Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.

Amen.

A Bit of Statistics, Please.

Have you missed this interesting piece of statistical data?

Luckily for some, I am a pure peaceful Muslim woman.

On the Topic of Taqiyya

October 15, 2010

I have come across the topic of Taqiyya a few years ago when I read an online discussion by a group of Islamophobes about the supposed danger of Taqiyya on non-Muslims. I joined the discussion and explained what Taqiyya is. The discussion took many diversions and the Islamophobes made fun of me and affirmed that I was a pathetic oppressed woman who needed to be rescued from Islam.

Anyway, I have not practiced Taqiyya because I see no need for it. I am not afraid to say that I am a Muslim. I am not afraid of wearing my Hijab. I am not afraid of practicing Islam outside the UAE. If I find that being a Muslim would put my life in an immediate danger, I will hide my belief. Somewhere in this world Muslims may resort to practicing Taqiyya to stay alive.

There is, then, a great distinction between pure lying and Taqiyya.

Humans Can Feel by Heart

Is this how you treat your prisoners? Then, shame on you!

If you are in Ehsan’s position, what will be your reaction? What will you be feeling?

I Wear Hijab. No Problem.

I do wear Hijab because I believe in wearing it.

Do not worry. It is not dangerous to me. By the way, thanks for your concerns!

Not Being Online

October 1, 2010

Sorry for not being online and contributing to the blogosphere for a long time. I have been busy, again, with work after consuming my 22 days off from work in Ramadan. I hope Allah provides me with enough time to share my thoughts with you soon.
